Mr. Wallis moved the call of the House.
Pending the call of the roll,

On motion of Mr. Maxwell,

All further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following:

The bill entitled, an act to amend article X of the Code of
Public General Laws by adding thereto the following sec-
tions, relating to attachments against non-residents of the
8tate and parties absconding therefrom in certain actions for
wrongs affecting the personal rights of the citizens, with
amendment;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."
The amendment was then adopted.

Also, the bill entitled, an act to amend article LXVI of the
Code of Public General Laws relating to Negroes, by repeal-
ing the 9th section thereof, and inserting in lieu thereof the
following section in relation to the apprehension fees for
fugitive slaves.

Endorsed, "rejected by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered the following:

A bill entitled, an act to amend the act passed on the 10th
day of Mav 1881, entitled an act to repeal the 19th section
of article XXIX of the Code of Public General Laws, and
the proviso to the 33d section to article V of the said Code
relating to the stay of executions, and to extend the time
for enforcing the execution of judgments, the following sec-
tion restricting the operations of said act in certain particu-
lars;

Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

Also, the bill entitled, an act to authorize and empower
Mary Ann Biggs, a minor, of the State of Delaware, to divide
