Mr. Keene presented a petition of the County Commission-
ers of Dorchester county for a new assessment;

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester county
delegation.

Mr. Griffith offered the following:

Ordered, That the State Libarian be required to furnish
the Clerk of the Circuit court of Montgomery county, with
twenty printed copies of the election laws of this State, the
same to be distributed to the judges of the several election
districts, as they may be required for the use of the said
judges;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Miller offered the following:

Ordered, That the committee on Claims pay Thomas H.
Moore, the per diem and mileage of Chief Clerk while acting
in that capacity by virtue of an order of the House, during the
illness of M. Y. Kidd, Chief Clerk;

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Holland,

The rules were suspended to enable him to present the pe-
tition of sundry citizens of Dorchester county, praying the
division of election district No. 7 into two election districts;

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester county dele-
gation.

The bill entitled, an act to amend article XXIX of the
Code of Public General Laws, by adding thereto a section ex-
tending the lien of judgments to leasehold interests in land,

Was read the second, and by special order the third times
and passed by yeas and nays, as follow:
