Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

As there exists a difference between the Senate and House
respecting the pay and mileage of members, we respectfully
suggest to your body the appointment of a committee
of conference on this subject, so as to procure a uni-
nimity of action, as this body has been informed there has
been a disagreement between the joint committee heretofore
appointed, and the action of the respective Houses of this
General Assembly, and the said committee be instructed to
report as early as possible.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Goldsborough, of Talbot, Stone and Townsend.
