Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

In response to the order of your honorable body in which I
am requested to communicate certain information in regard
to the expenditure of the appropriation made by the Legisla-
ture at its last session, for the purchase of arms, I have to
say, that I have transmitted to the Adjutant General, at An-
napolis, a copy of your order, with directions to furnish me
immediately With the information desired by you. I will
transmit the same so soon as received.
