The proceedings of yesterday were read.

Mr. Medders presented the petition of one hundred citizens
of Kent county for the repeal of the Stay Law and for an ad-
journment sine die;

Which was referred to the committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Maxwell offered the following:

Ordered, That the committee on Claims be, and they are
hereby instructed to pay to Milton Y. Kidd, Chief Clerk, his
per diem for extra services rendered during the recess of twenty
days, from the 14th of May ulto., to the 4th of June inst.,
and same mileage as at late session, for proceeding to An-
napolis and returning twice, to have the bills passed at said
session, sealed, signed, &c.; also, to pay R. Brown Hender-
son, six days per diem and mileage for services rendered un-
der the order of the committee on Engrossed Bills; also, to
pay Charles T. Adams, fourteen days per diem for services
rendered, folding, &c., during the recess;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Scott, from a select committee, reported a bill entitled
a supplement to an act entitled, an act to incorporate the Bal-
timore, Catonsville and Ellicott's Mills Passenger Railway
company, passed at January session 1860, chap. 34;

Which was read the first, and by special order the second
and third times and passed by yeas and nays, as follow:
