On motion of Mr. Scott,

Leave was granted the Baltimore delegation to report a
bill to be entitled, An Act to amend the IVth Article of the
Code of Public Local Laws, by repealing the 161st, 162nd,
163d, 164th, 165th, 165th, 167th, 168th, 169th, 170th, 172d,
and 173d Sections thereof.

Mr, Scott from a special committee, reported favorably upon
the bill, entitled, An Act to amend the IVth Article of the
Code of Public Local Laws, by repealing the 161st, 162nd,
163d, 164th, 165th, 166th, 167th, 168th, 169th, 170th, 172d,
173d Sections thereof;

Which was read the first time and referred to the com-
mittee on the Judiciary.

Mr, Jacobs offered the following :

Ordered, That the committee of Ways and Means take in-
to consideration the propriety of reporting a bill for the re-
assessment of the real and personal property of this State;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bryan presented the following :

Memorial of 216 voters of Prince George's county, praying
the Legislature (if in its judgment it possesses the power,) to
pass an Ordinance of Secession without delay;

Which was referred to the committee on Federal Rela-
tions.

Mr. Mackubin offered the following:

Ordered, That Charles Gassaway be appointed clerk to the
committee of Claims;

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Parran,

Leave was granted the Judiciary Committee to introduce a
bill to authorize the County Commissioners of the several
counties of the State to levy on the assessable property of said
counties such amount as they may deem requisite to purchase
arms for the defence of said counties.

On motion of Mr. Pitts,

The bill, entitled An Act to amend the XlXth Section, re-
lating to Banks, of Article XIIth of the Code of Public
General Laws;

Referred to the committee on Currency,
