Naill, Straughn, Goldsborough, Warfield, Winans, Brune,
Pitts, Harrison, Thomas, Wallis, Sangston, Morfit, Scott,
Wilson, of Harford, Bayless, McCoy, Coudy, Harding, Gor-

don, Barnard, McCleary, Roop, Gorsuch, Mills, Turner and
Brown.

The proceedings of Saturday were read.
On motion of Mr. Winans,

He was excused from serving on the committee of Ways
and Means, and the name of Mr. Brune substituted there-
for.

On motion of Mr. Brune,

He was excused from serving on the committee on Mili-
tary Affairs, and the name of Mr. Winans substituted there-
for.

Mr. Gordon moved to take up the message to the Senate,
proposed by him on Friday, which was laid upon the table;
which was concurred in, and the message, with, the substi-
tutes, were then taken up for consideration.

Mr. Denison withdrew his substitute.

Mr. McCleary withdrew his motion to strike out "five" and
insert "ten."

The question then recurring upon the original message as
proposed by Mr. Gordon,

It was adopted, and

The following gentlemen were constituted said committee:
Messrs. Gordon, Naill, Sangston, Long and Wootton.

On motion of Mr. Holland,

Leave was granted to introduce a bill to allow William T.
Vickers, late Sheriff of Dorchester county, further time to
complete his collections.

Also,

Leave was granted to introduce a bill to amend Article
LIV, section 19, of the Code of Public General Laws, rela-
tive to the issuing of warrants by the Commissioner of the
Land Office.

Mr. Holland offered the following:

Ordered, By the House of Delegates, that the Governor

and Adjutant General, be and they are hereby respectfully

requested to report to this House at the earliest practicable

moment, what amount of the $70,000, appropriated at the
