Mr. Compton, chairman of the committee on Military Af-
fairs, made the following report:

The committee on Military Affairs, to whom was referred
the leave to introduce a bill to provide pay for the Light Di-
vision, which has been on duty in Baltimore since the 19th
day of April, 1861, beg leave to report that they unanimous-
ly recommend that at the proper time such appropriation
should be made, and they respectfully recommend further
that the appropriation be deferred to the next session of this
body.

BY THE SENATE, .

May 6th, 1861,

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be and he is hereby requested to direct the Adju-
tant General of this State to furnish to the President and
Faculty of Washington College, seventy-five cadets' muskets
and accoutrements, including percussion caps, together with
twelve sergeants' swords and twelve lieutenants' swords, fit

for parade, for the use of said college.
