On motion of Mr. Smith,

Ordered, That the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate procure
one hundred copies of the bill, entitled, "An act to amend the
eighty-third article of the Code of Public General Laws, by
exemption a certain amount of property from execution," to be
printed for the use of the Senate, and that on the third reading
of said bill ammendments may be offered thereto as if it was upon
its second reading.

Mr. Goldsborough, from the Committee on Finance, to whom
was referred a bill to release from the payment of interest the
sureties on the official bond of Samuel L. Duhamel, Collector of
Taxes for the first election district of Queen Anne's county, in
the year eighteen hundred and fifty-seven, reported favorably on
said bill.

On motion,
Three-fourths of all the Senators concurring,

Said bill was read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed.

On motion,
Three-fourths of all the Senators concurring,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; Lynch,

Blackistone, McKaig,

Bradley, Nuttle,

Dashiell, Stone,

Gardiner, Townsend,

Goldsborough, of Talbot; Watkins,

Goldsborough, of Dor; Whitaker,

NEGATIVE——NONE.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates,

Mr. Dashiell, from a select committee, to whom was referred
a bill, entitled,

An act to repeal the 198th section of article nineteen, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to pubic schools in Somer-
set county, reported favorably on said bill.

Which was read the first time.
