Ordered, That the blank in the resolution to send a Commis-

Robinson, of Queen Anne's county, Maryland.

Mr. Heckart, from the Committee on Militia, made the fol-
lowing

REPORT:

The committee to whom was referred the message from the
Governor, under date of the 2d of May, 1861, accompanied by
a remonstrance from sundry citizens of Washington and Freder-
ick counties therein expressed, beg leave to make the following
report :

Whereas, by a joint resolution adopted by this General Assem-
bly of Maryland, appointing a Commissioner to attend to subject
matter therein contained, we therefore ask to be excused from any
further consideration of said reference.
