So the Senate refused to adjourn.
Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot, offered the following
AMENDMENT:

Strike out all after the word Maryland in the first line of the
first section, down to the word together in the fourth line, and in-
sert "That the people of this State shall elect on the 13th day of
June next, six persons, one from each of the Congressional dis-
tricts of this State, who have been citizens and residents for the
the past five years of each of said districts respectively, who"

So the Senate rejected the amendment.

Mr. Goldsborough, of Dorchester, offered the following
AMENDMENT:

In the second line of the first section, strike out the words
"John V, L. McMahon," apd insert the words "Joan Hurst."
