So the Senate adopted the order.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
bills:

A bill, entitled, An act to ratify the proceedings of the Circuit
Court for Allegany county, as a court of equity, appointing Wm.
Walsh, trustee, to complete the collection of State and county
taxes for the years 1860 and 1861, and perform other duties of
collector, in place of John Callan, late collector, deceased;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Judical Proceedings.

A bill, entitled, An act to repeal section 84, of Article 8, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, for Cecil county;

Which was read the first time, and referred to a special com-
mittee, consisting of Messrs. Heckart, Bradley and Townsend.

A bill, entitled, An act appropriating a sum of money for the
purpose of re-binding certain dockets and record books of the
late High Court of Chancery;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Finance.

The Senate adjourned.

WEDNESDAY, August 7, 1861.

On motion of Mr. Heckart,

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that if the Senator
from Cecil had been present when the vote was taken upon the
preamble and resolutions in regard to the Police Commissioners of
Baltimore city, he would have voted for said preamble and reso-
lutions.
