Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Militia.

A bill, entitled, An act appropriating a sum of money for the
payment of the claims of Thomas J. Brice, executor of Ann
Brice, Owen M. Taylor, Caleb Stewart, Thomas Gardiner and
John M. Thompson;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Finance.

Mr. Watkins, from a select committee, reported the following
bills:

A bill, entitled, An act to make valid and to carry into effect
the bequest contained in the last will and testament of George
Kerr, late of Baltimore county, deceased, in favor of the Trustees
of the First Presbyterian Church of Ellicott's Mills, in Howard
county;

Which was read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Watkins,
Three-fourths of all the Senators concurring,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
lows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

A bill, entitled, An act to amend the Code of Public Local
Laws, Article 19, section 136, relating to the boundaries of the
town of Princess Ann, in Somerset county, by repealing said
section 136, and inserting in lieu thereof the following————;

Which was read the first time, and referred to a select com-
mittee, consisting of Messrs. Goldsborough, of Talbot, Stone and
Dashiell
