be engrossed for a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Lynch,
Three-fourths of the Senators concurring,

Said resolution was read the third time, and passed by yeas
and nays as follows:

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; Kimmel,
Goldsborough, of Talbot; Stone—4.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the following
bills:

A bill, entitled, An act to amend the 29th Article of the Code
of Public General Laws, by adding thereto a section extending
the lien of judgments to leasehold interests in land ;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill, entitled, An act to authorize the Commissioners of Alle-
gany county to pay George L. Layman, for certain, services ren-
dered as constable;

Which was read the first time, and referred to a select com-
mittee, consisting of Messrs. McKaig, Whitaker and Blackis-
tone.

Mr McKaig, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, re-
ported the following:

A bill, entitled, An act to enable A. Lingan Jarrett, Comptrol-
ler of Maryland, to enter into bond and qualify;

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Stone, from a special committee, reported the following:

A bill, entitled, An act to authorize the Commissioners of
Washington county to guarantee the bonds of the Western Mary-
land Railroad Company;

Which was read the first time.
