So the Senate rejected the minority report.

The question then recurred upon the majority report.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows:

So the Senate adopted the majority report.

Mr. Heckart, from the Committee on Militia, reported the fol-
lowing:

A bill, entitled, An act to make valid the qualification of Tench
Tilghman, as Major General of the Second Division of Maryland
Militia;

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Stone presented the following petition;

Of H. C.Comegys, and ninety-five other citizens of Election
District No. 1 of Caroline county, in opposition to dividing said
district into two election districts;

Which was read.

On motion of Mr. Whitaker,

A bill, entitled, An act to add the following sections to Article
6 of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to election districts
in Caroline county,
