extra session, in May last, be increased by the allowance of
the sum of twenty dollars to each member and officer of this Gen-
eral Assembly, except such officers as may have been appointed
from Frederick city at said extra session.

That this additional allowance be considered as embracing the
sums heretofore ordered by the House of Delegates to be paid to
the members and officers from the counties of Anne^Arundel,
Baltimore, Calvert, Charles and Prince George's.

They, therefore, recommend the adoption of the following joint
resolution:

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That each of the
members and officers of the Senate and House of Delegates be al-
lowed for this adjourned session, commencing on the 4th day of
June last, the per diem for the time they have been in actual session
and the sum of twenty dollars as an increase to the mileage of
each member and officer, except the mileage due to officers ap-
pointed from Frederick city, and that the same be received as full
compensation for all demands for per diem and mileage at this
adjourned session.

Three-fourths of all the Senators concurring,

On motion of Mr. Blackistone,
Three-fourths of all the Senators concurring,
Was read the third time, and adopted.

On motion of Mr. Stone, :

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims be instructed to pay
the President of the Senate and Secretary, per diem and mileage
for the time they may be engaged in signing, scaling and trans-
mitting the laws to Annapolis city.

Mr. McKaig, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported the following bills:
