WEDNESDAY, June 19th, 1861.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the resolutions
in relation to property destroyed in Maryland by the Virginia
troops, and instructing the Governor of Maryland to notify the
Governor of Virginia, by due course of mail, of the same;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Lynch presented the petition of T. H. Walch;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Duvall presented the following memorial:

Of Albana Gilpin, and other citizens of Montgomery county,
against the incorporation of Ellicott's Mills;

Which was read, and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.

On motion of Mr. Lynch,

Ordered, That the thanks of the Senate be tendered to the
Hon. H. H. Goldsborough, for the able and impartial manner in
which he discharged the duties of President pro tem., during the
absence of the President.

On motion of Mr. Blackistone,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judicial Proceedings to
report a bill to authorize and empower Mary Ann Biggs, a minor,
of the State of Delaware, to divide certain real estate, and to
convey by good and sufficient deed, or deeds, such part thereof
as may be necessary to complete such division, and to accept and
hold her proportion in severally, as though she was of full age.

Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot, from the Committee on Confer-
ence, submitted the following

REPORT:

JUNE 18th, 1861.

The Committee of Conference, to whom was referred the mes-
sage of the two Houses in regard to the pay and mileage of the
members and officers, beg leave to report—

That they have had under due consideration the above sub-
jects, and recommend that the list of mileage as adopted at the
