Mr. McKaig submitted the following

AMENDMENTS :

"This Legislature has been informed," to be inserted after the
word whereas, in the first line.

Instead of the last Resolution, say:

And be it further Resolved, That the Governor be requested to
forward, by due course of mail, a copy of these Resolutions to
the Governor of Virginia.

Which were adopted.

The Resolutions were then read the second time, and ordered
to be engrossed.

On motion of Mr. Stone,
Three-fourths of the Senators present concurring,

Said Resolutions were read the third time, and passed by yeas
and nays as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE,

Messrs. Blackistone, McKaig,

Bradley, Miles,

Duvall, Nuttle,

Franklin, Smith,
Goldsborough, of Talbot; Stone,

Heckart, Townsend,

Kimmel, Watkins,

Lynch, Whitaker—16.

NEGATIVE—NONE.

Said Resolutions were then sent to the House of Delegates.

A bill, entitled, An act to erect the village of Ellicott's Mills
into a city, and to incorporate the inhabitants thereof,

Was taken up, considered, and laid on the table until Monday
next.

Mr. Smith moved that the message submitted by him yester-
day, in relation to the adjournment of both Houses of the Legis-
lature sine die, be taken up.

Mr. McKaig moved that the message be laid on the table.
