On motion of Mr. Lynch,

A bill, entitled, A further additional supplement to an act, enti-
tled, an act to establish and incorporate a Medical and Chirur-
gical Faculty or Society in the State of Maryland,

Was taken up.

Mr. Duvall moved to lay the bill on the table informally.

Mr. Lynch moved as a substitute:

That the bill be re-committed.

A bill, entitled, An act to make an appropriation to compen-
sate that portion of the Sixteenth Regiment of Maryland Militia,
which, in obedience to an order of His Excellency, Governor
Hicks, performed guard duty at the State Armory, in Frederick
city, from April 22d to May 11th, 1861, inclusive,
