Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
The Senate adjourned.

WEDNESDAY, June 12th, 1861.

The President stated that, in consequence of the receipt of a
letter indicating sickness in his family, he desired leave of ab-
sence;

Which was granted.

On motion of Mr. Lynch,
Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot, was elected President pro tern.

On motion of Mr. Duvall,

Leave was granted Messrs. Duvall, Stone and Lynch to report
a bill adding an additional supplement to an act, entitled, An act
