On motion of Mr. Stone,
Said bill was laid on the table.

Mr. Whitaker, from the Committee on Agriculture, reported
favorably on the following:

A bill, entitled, An act to repeal the 412th section of the 4th
Article of the Code of Public Local Laws, and to insert in lieu
thereof the following sections ————;

Which was read a second time.
The Senate adjourned.

TUESDAY, June 11th, 1861.

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted Messrs. Smith, Kimmel, and Franklin to
report a bill to legalize and make valid a deed from William R.
Steele, executor of Joseph Steele, late of Carroll county, deceased,
to John T. Steele.

On motion of Mr. Watkins,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to report
a bill, entitled, An act to erect the village of Ellicott's Mills into
a city, by the name of Ellicott city, and to incorporate the inhabi-
tants thereof.

Mr. Nuttle, from a select committee, reported favorably on
the following:

A bill, entitled, An act to make valid the acts of Wm. Wicks, as
deputy of Esma Lowe, constable of Caroline county;
Which was read the second time.
