Mr. Grahame, from a select committee, reported the following:

A bill, entitled, An act to repeal an act providing for the dis-
posal of the State Tobacco Warehouses, and the building of a
new Tobacco Warehouse or Warehouses, on deep water;

Which was read, by special order, the second time.
On motion of Mr. McKaig,

A call of the Senate was had, when the following Senators
answered to their names :

Messrs. Blackiston, Bradley, Franklin, Heckart, Kimmel, Mc-
Kaig, Miles, Nuttle, Stone, Watkins—10.

The Sergeant-at-Arms returned, and reported that he had noti-
fied the absent Senators that their attendance was required at the
Senate Chamber.

Mr. Heckart, from the Committee on Militia, reported the fol-
lowing:

A bill, entitled, An act to make an appropriation to compen-
sate that portion of the Sixteenth Regiment of Maryland Militia,
which, in obedience to an order of His Excellency, Governor
Hicks, performed guard duty at the State Armory, in Frederick
city, from April 22d to May 11th, 1861, inclusive;

Which was read the first time.
The Senate adjourned.
