On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot,

A call of the roll was ordered, when the following Senators
answered to their names:

Messrs. Brooke, President; Blackistone, Franklin, Gardiner,
Goldsborough, of Talbot, Goldsborough, of Dorchester, Heckart,
Kimmel, Lynch, McKaig, Stone, Townsend, Watkins, Whitaker,
Yellott—15.

The Sergeant-at-Arms returned, and reported that he had no-
tified the absent Senators that their attendance was required in
the Senate Chamber.

The Clerk of the House delivered the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

Gentlemen of the Senate :

We respectfully propose, with your concurrence, that when
the two Houses adjourn on Wednesday, the 15th, they stand ad-
journed until Tuesday, the 4th day of June next, at the hour of
1 o'clock, P. M., to meet in Frederick City.
