So the Senate rejected the amendment.

The question was then taken upon the passage of the bill, and
rejected by yeas and nays as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Blackistone, Watkins,
Franklin, Whitaker,
Gardiner, Yellott—9.
Lynch,

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Duvall, Kimmel,

Goldsborougb,of Talbot; McKaig,

Goldsborough, of Dor; Smith,

Heckart, Stone—8.

Mr. Yellott moved to reconsider the vote by which the bill was
lost.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; McKaig,

Blackistone, Townsend,
Franklin, Watkins,
Gardiner, Whitaker,
Heckart, Yellott—11.
Lynch,

NEGATIVE.

So the Senate reconsidered the vote.

Mr. Yellott moved to lay the bill on the table.
