SATURDAY, May 11th, 1861.

Mr. Goldsborough, of Talbot, from the Committee on Finance,
reported favorably on House bill, entitled,

An act appropriating a sum of money for the payment of the
claims of John Murphy & Co., Wm. S. Brown, A. H. Hunt,
Hanshaw & Markey, Young Men's Christian Association, of
Frederick City, D. W. Brooks & Bro., John Rhodes, Wm. F.
Johnson, A. Boza, Geo. Rice, J. Whitehill & Co., A. H. Shaffer,
Isabella Gas Co., F. Schroeder, J. Graff, Wm. H. Doub, J.
Krahe, Quynn & Ritter, Clark, Albaugh & Co., George Hoskins,
P. & A. Rice, G. L. Markell & Co., Wm. G. Cole, Jacob Riehl,
R. Basil, E. Dadds, Loats & Eichelberger, and G. S. Groshon.

Which was read the second time.

On motion of Mr. McKaig,
Three-fourths of all the Senators concurring,

Said bill was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays

izing the Adjutant-General to furnish the Newton Atlantic Vol-
unteers with Rifles, &c., make the following report:

WHEREAS, ample provisions are contained in the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, Article 63, section 110, We do therefore
report unfavorable,
