So the Senate adjourned.

EVENING SESSION.

FRIDAY, May 10th, 1861.

The question was then taken upon the concurrence of the ma-
jority report, and adopted.

A message was received from the Executive, Governor Hicks,
by the hands of Thomas J. Wilson, Esq.

Which was laid over informally.

Mr. Heckart, from a Committee to whom was referred

A bill, entitled, An act to add new sections to article 28 of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the rights and du-
ties of County Commissioners, reported favorably on said bill.

Which was read a second time, and ordered to be printed.

Mr. McKaig, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings, re-
ported favorably on a bill, entitled,

An act to repeal the 19th section of the 29th article of the
Code of Public General Laws, and the Proviso to the 33rd sec-
