Anne Arundel County, a planter. MOTHER: Sarah
(1715/16-?), daughter of Thomas Worthington (ca.
1691-1753) and wife Elizabeth Ridgely. UNCLES:
Edward Dorsey (1718-1760); Ence T. B. Worthing-
ton (1727-1794); and Nicholas Worthington
(1734-1793). AUNT: Mary Dorsey (1725-ca. 1787),
who married John Ridgely (?-1771). BROTHERS:
Caleb (1734-1763); Dennis (?-1788). SISTERS: Sa-
rah, who married John Burgess; Ariana, who mar-

1772); Anne (1725-?), who married Brice T. B.
Worthington (1727-1794); and Sarah (1745-?),
who married Charles Green bury Griffith (1744-
1792). Her niece was Anne Dorsey (1740-1795),
who married John Dorsey (1734-1779). MARRIED
second, on June 21, 1761, Elizabeth (1745-1815),
daughter of Judge Nicholas Ridgely, of Delaware.
