CHAPTER 69.
AN ACT to extend the act of incorporation of
the Washington Fire Insurance Company of
Baltimore, and the amendment thereto.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the act passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
five, chapter eighty-two, entitled an act to
incorporate the Washington Fire Insurance
Company, together with an amendment there-

to, passed at January session, eighteen hun-
dred and seventy, chapter four hundred and
forty, entitled an act to amend an act passed
January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
five of the General Assembly of Maryland,
chapter eighty- two, entitled an act to incor-
porate the Washington Fire Insurance . Com-
pany of Baltimore, and to enlarge the powers
of said corporation, be and the same is hereby
continued in full force and effect for the fur-
ther term of twenty years from the expiration
thereof, and until the end of the session of
the General Assembly next thereafter.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the end of the present session
of this General Assembly.

CHAPTER 70.
AN ACT to refund to Adam Thompson, of Al-
legany county, certain sums of money errone-
ously paid into the Treasury of the State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

|
sembly of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the
State be and he is hereby directed and au-
thorized, upon the warrant of the Comptroller,
to pay to Adam Thompson, late tax collector
|
