CHAPTER 67.

AN ACT to refund to Benjamin R. Dashiell,
late Collector of Taxes for Wicomico county,
the sum of eight dollars and forty-six cents,
for money paid into the Treasury of the
State in excess of the amount due by him for
State taxes for eighteen hundred and eighty-
three.

WHEREAS it appears by the books of the

Treasury Department of the State of Maryland,
that Benjamin R. Dashiell has paid into the
Treasury of the State the sum of eight dollars
and forty-six cents in excess of the amount
due by him for State taxes for eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-three, for Wicomico county ;
and

WHEREAS the Treasurer and Comptroller of
the State have recommended the passage of a
law refunding the said sum of money to said
Collector; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Treasurer be
and he is hereby directed and required, upon
the warrant of the Comptroller, to pay to
Benjamin R. Dashiell the sum of eight dollars
and forty-six cents out of any money in the
Treasury not otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
