CHAPTER 65.
AN ACT to repeal chapter forty-five of the acts
of eighteen hundred and seventy-four, en-
titled an act to repeal section thirty-six of
article ten of the Public General Laws of
this State, entitled "Attachments," and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That chapter forty-five
of the acts of eighteen hundred and seventy- '
four, entitled an act to repeal section thirty-
six of article ten of the Public General Laws
of this State, entitled " Attachments," be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so
as to read as follows :

Repealed and
re-enacted.

SEC. 36. No attachments of the wages or hire
of any laborer or employee in the hands of
the employer, whether private individuals or
bodies corporate, shall affect any salary or
wages of the debtor which are not actually due
|
Wages not due.
|
|
|
at the date of the attachment; and the sum of
one hundred dollars of such wages or hire due
to any laborer or employee by any employer or
corporation shall always be exempt from at-
tachment by any process whatever.

Exempt.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 66.
AN ACT to repeal section six hundred and
nineteen of article four of Public Local
Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables,'' and
to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section six hundred
