No. 239. An act to authorize and empower the County
Commissioners of Frederick county to issue bonds
bearing four per cent, interest, to raise money with
which to pay off the bonds issued by said Commis-
sioners under an act of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at January session, eighteen hun-
dred a.nd seventy-eight, chapter two hundred and
forty-three, and to levy and collect the necessary
taxes for the payment of such four per cent, bonds

and the interest thereon .....................
No. 240. An act to authorize and empower the County
Commissioners of Cecil county to create a bonded
debt, for the purpose of funding a portion of the
floating debt of said county, and to borrow money to
remodel and improve the Court House, and con-
struct an Insane Asylum on the grounds attached to
the Alms House; to regulate the expenditure of the
money thus borrowed; to provide for the payment
of the entire debt hereby created, and to limit the
said Commissioners in annual expenditures made

eighty of the acts of eighteen hundred and eighty-
four, entitled an act to enable the qualified voters
of Garrett county to determine by ballot, whether
intoxicating liquors or alcoholic bitters shall be
sold therein, and to re-enact the same with amend-

No. 242. An act to repeal section seven of the act
passed at the January session of eighteen hundred
and seventy-six, chapter one hundred and seventy-
nine, entitled an act to repeal, sections fifty-five to
sixty-four, inclusive, of the Public Local Laws of
Baltimore county, entitled "Collector," and sections
seventy-eight to ninety, inclusive, entitled "Treas-
urer," and also to repeal section ten of the act passed
January session, eighteen hundred and seventy-
