No. 160. An act to authorize the Mayor and City Coun-
cil of Baltimore to issue the stock of the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, and sell the same and
apply the proceeds, to enable the Western Mary-
land Railroad Company to pay and extinguish cer-
tain of the obligations of said company secured by
first, second, preferred and second mortgages of said

No. 161. An act to amend the act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-eight, chapter four hundred and seventy-
one, relating to corporations, by adding thereto an
additional section to follow section twenty-four,
class eleven of said act, as heretofore amended, pro-
viding for the incorporation of corporations for the
transaction of any business in which electricity over
or through wires may be used for any useful pur-
pose, to be designated as section twenty-four, class
eleven A, and also by adding thereto an additional
section to follow section one hundred and seventy-
five, and to be designated as section one hundred
and seventy-five A, conferring upon the corporations
referred to in said section twenty- four, class eleven,
and in said section twenty-four, class eleven A, cer-
tain powers of condemnation, and prescribing how
