CHAPTER 62.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claim of Spencer C. Jones.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of
the Treasury, be and he is hereby directed to

issue his warrant upon the Treasurer, to pay
Spencer C. Jones the sum of twenty-nine
hundred and eighty-three dollars and eighty
cents, ($2,983.80), for fees due him as Clerk of
the Court of Appeals, this claim and the
proof thereof having been reported upon by
the Comptroller.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 63.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact sections four,
five and six of an act passed January session,
eighteen hundred and eighty -four, chapter
forty-five, relating to roads and bridges in
Cecil county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That sections four, five
and six of an act passed January session,
eighteen hundred and eighty-four, chapter
forty-five, relating to roads and bridges in
Cecil county, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Road
Commissioners shall reside in the road dis-
tricts for which they are appointed; and when
they have received their commissions from
