CHAPTER 489.

AN ACT to repeal sections ninety-four and
ninety-five of article nineteen of the Code
of Public Local Laws of this State, title
"Somerset county," sub-title "Oysters/' as
amended by the act of eighteen hundred
and eighty-four, chapter two hundred and
and fif ty-five, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That sections ninety-

four and ninety-five of article nineteen of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Somerset
county," sub-title "Oysters," as re-enacted by
the act of January session, eighteen hundred
and eighty-four, chapter two hundred and
fifty-five, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

94. It shall be lawful for the citizens of said
county to catch or take oysters with a scoop,
drag or dredge upon obtaining a license there-
for as hereinafter directed, in any of the
waters of said county, not parcel of any creek,
coye, river or inlet, nor within any waters of
said county designated and set apart by stakes,
buoys or other marks by the County Commis-
sioners as a place of deposit for shells of
oysters for the purpose of propagating and
growing oysters thereon, for the use of persons
licensed to dredge or scrape in said county;
provided, that when said Commissioners shall
remove the stakes or buoys put up by them
at such designated places, and shall give public
notice thereof, the said designated places shall
