SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 479.
AN ACT to pay to William L. Dorsey and
others, the deficiencies due in their salary
as Clerks in the State Tobacco Warehouse
Number Four.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller
of the Treasury be and he is hereby directed
to draw his warrants in favor of William L.
Dorsey, for the sum of one hundred and thir-
teen dollars and twenty-two cents; F. C. Hall,
for the sum of tAventy-seven dollars and seven
cents; T. John Bowie, assignee of Charles Ham-

mond, for the sum of eight dollars, and Thomas
J. Hall & Company, assignees of John H.
Jones, for the sum of one hundred and sixteen
dollars and fifty-six cents, and John T. Clarke,
the sum of one hundred and thirty- three dol-
lars and fifty-two cents, being the amount cer-
tified to be due each one of the above-named
parties by the Inspector of Tobacco Warehouse
Number Four, as the balance of their salary
for the year eighteen hundred and eighty-
four.
