CHAPTER 4.

AN ACT to authorize the Commissioners of
Easton, to levy upon the taxable property of
Easton an additional tax of five cents in the
one hundred dollars, for the purpose of en-
abling the Commissioners of said town to
furnish w^yater to said corporation.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Commissioners
of the Town of Easton be and they are hereby

authorized to. levy annually upon the taxable
property of Easton a tax in addition to those
already allowed by law, of five cents in the
one hundred dollars, and the money arising-
from said tax shall be set apart and especially
dedicated for the purpose of furnishing the
corporation of Easton with water, to be sup-
plied by water-works that shall hereafter be
erected.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 5.

AN ACT to authorize the election of two
members of the Board of Directors of the
Annapolis and Baltimore Short-Line Rail-
road Company, in addition to the seven
directors authorized by the tenth section of
the act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at January session, eighteen hundred
and seventy-six, chapter two hundred and
forty-two.
