CHAPTER 409.

AN ACT to repeal sections one hundred and
fourteen, one hundred and twenty-two, one-
hundred and twenty-three, one hundred and
twenty-eight, one hundred and forty-three
C, and one hundred and forty-three H, of
article twenty-one of the Code of Public
Local Laws, entitled "Washington County/'
sub-title, "Hagerstown," as amended by chap-
ter fifty-eight of the acts of eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-four, entitled an act to re-
peal the act of the General Assembly,,
passed at the January session eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-eight, chapter sixty, en-
titled an act to repeal sections one hundred
and nine to one hundred and forty-three, in-
clusive, of article twenty-one of the Code of
Public Local Laws, entitled "Washington
County," sub-title "Hagerstown," and to en-
act the following in lieu thereof, in amend-
ing and revising the charter of Hagerstown.
and in providing for the government thereof
and to add new and additional sections to
article twenty-one of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Washington County,"
sub-title "Hagerstown."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That sections one hun-
dred and fourteen, one hundred and twenty-
two, one hundred and twenty-three, one hun-
dred and twenty-eight, one hundred and forty-
three C, and one hundred and forty-three H,

re-enacted.

of article twenty-one of the Code of Public
Local Laws, entitled "Washington County,"
sub-title "Hagerstown,' as amended by chap-
ter fifty-eight of the acts of eighteen hundred
and eighty-four, be and the same are hereby
repealed and the following enacted in lieu
thereof; and that the following new sections.
