CHAPTER 401.
AN ACT to re-enict sections ninety-four,
ninety-five and ninety-six, of article twenty-
one of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Washington county," sub-title "Fence?," so
far as the same shall apply to Election Dis-
tricts Numbers Two and Eleven of said
county.
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That sections ninety-

re-enacted.

four, ninety-five and ninety-six, of article
twenty-one of the Code of Public Local Laws,
as repealed by chapter four hundred and nine-
teen, act of eighteen hundred and seventy-four,
be and the same is hereby re-enacted, so as to
read as follows :
SECTION 94. All fields and grounds kept
for enclosures in said county, shall be fenced
with post and rail, or plank or worm, fences,
(well staked and ridered), made of good and
substantial rails at least four feet and a
half high from the ground to the top of the
upper rail; all worm fences shall be at least

five feet high from the ground to the top of
the upper rail; the first or under rail in post
and rail, or plank, or worm fences shall not ex-
ceed five inches from the ground or embank-
ment on which the same may be built; the
width between the rails composing the fence
shall be such as is usual in the construction of
good post and rail, plank or worm fences; all
brush fences made upon an embankment shall
be at least three feet six inches high, and the
embankment eighteen inches high; and all
stone fences made upon the ground shall be
at least four feet high from the surface of the
ground.
