LAWS OF MARYLAND.
CHAPTER 399.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County
Commissioners of Caroline county, to inves-
tigate an alleged discrepancy or mistake in
the accounts of Curtis A. Wright, late Col-
lector of county taxes of Caroline county,
and Clinton Cook, late Treasurer of Caro-
line county, and to provide for the settle-
ment of any such discrepancy or mistake
that may be discovered.

WHEREAS it is represented that a mistake
has been made in certain settlements of Curtis
A. Wright, late Collector of taxes for Caroline
county, with Clinton Cook, late Treasurer of
said county; and

WHEREAS it is desirable that such mistakes
should be corrected and settled;

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners be and they are hereby authorized

taxes of Caroline county, and Clinton Cook,
late Treasurer of Caroline county, and to levy
upon the assessable property of said county
an amount sufficient to pay the said Curtis A.
Wright any sum of money that may be ascer-
tained to be so erroneously paid to said Treas-
urer by said Collector.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
