HENRY LLOYD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR
and stead of the original who may be dead,
disabled or absent, and shall cause the name
or names of such person or persons so as last
aforesaid drawn, to be inserted in the said
venire facias to be summoned as aforesaid,
und it shall be the duty of the Sheriff to sum-
mons the persons named in said venire facias
and make return thereof to the said Court at
the opening of its session; this section shall
not apply to Prince George's county.

CHAPTER 391.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Charles county to raise money for
the current expenses of the county by nego-
tiating a loan therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners of Charles county be and they are
hereby authorized to borrow money not ex-
ceeding six thousand dollars for the purpose
of meeting the current expenses of the county,
and to that end they are empowered to issue
the bonds of said county in sums not less than
one hundred, and bearing interest not exceed-
ing five per cent, per annum, the said bonds

to be payable at the end of five years but re-
deemable at the pleasure of said Commis-
sioners, in whole or in part at any time after
one year, the said bonds to be signed by the
said Commissioners, countersigned and regis-
tered by the Clerk and Treasurer of said Com-
missioners not to be sold for less than the par
value thereof; to be exempt from all taxation
and the said Commissioners shall, from time
to time, levy in advance upon the assessable
property of said county, such sums as may be
necessary for the prompt payment of the in-
terest due on said bonds, also for the payment
