LAWS OF MARYLAND.
CHAPTER 44.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Balti-
more Eye, Ear and Throat Charity Hospital
of Baltimore city.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the charter of the
Baltimore Eye, Ear and Throat Charity Hos-
pital of Baltimore city, a corporation incor-
porated under the provisions of the General
Law of this State, relating to corporations, be
and the same is hereby amended, so that the

number of the Board of Managers of said
corporation shall hereafter be prescribed by
its by-laws; provided, however, that the number
of members of said Board shall at no time
exceed twenty-five in all, a majority of whom
shall constitute a quorum, and who shall have
power to fill all vacancies occurring therein,
whether by death, resignation, or otherwise.

SEC. 2. And tie it further enacted, That such
additional members as may be added to the
present Board of Managers of said corporation
by virtue of this act, shall be elected by a
majority of the Board of Managers of said
corporation existing at the time of the accept-
ance of this act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That a
copy of the resolutions of acceptance of the
provisions of this act, attested under the cor-
porate seal of the said corporation,, shall be

lodged with the Secretary of State within sixty
days after the passage hereof, and a copy of the
same, duly attested by the Secretary of State,
shall be evidence in all Courts of Law or
Equity of the due acceptance of this act.

Duration,

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the
duration of said corporation shall be unlimited,
and this act shall take effect from and after
the date of its passage.
