AN ACT giving the leave and sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland to the ac-
quisition of the leasehold interest, in and
to two pieces of ground in Baltimore city,
by the Charles street Methodist Episcopal
Church of Baltimore, a body corporate
under the Laws of the State of Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the leave and sanc-
tion of the General Assembly of Maryland is
hereby given to the purchase by the Charles
street Methodist Episcopal Church of Balti-
more, a body corporate under the Laws of the
State of Maryland, of the leasehold interest
in and to'that lot of ground on Fayette and
Charles streets in the City of Baltimore, which
by deed of assignment dated the sixth day of
May, eighteen hundred and forty-three, duly

recorded among the Land Records of Balti-
more county, now city, in Liber T. K., No.
three hundred and thirty, folio one hundred
and seventy, &c., was granted and assigned by
Alexander Lorman and others to said corpo-
ration; and to the purchase by it of that other
leasehold lot of ground in the city of Balti-
more, on Fayette street, near Paca, which by
deed of assignment dated the fifteenth day of
September, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
duly recorded among the Land Records in
Liber G: R., No. three hundred and ninety-
one, folio two hundred and eighty-two, &c.,
was granted and assigned by Charles H.
Koons to said corporation.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
