or fermented liquors or alcoholic bitters, or if
the vote thereon shall be a tie vote, that the
then said Local Option Law of eighteen hun-
dred and eighty-two, shall remain in full force
in said city; but if it shall be found by the
return of said Judges of Elections and proc-
lamation of said Clerk, that a majority of
all the votes cast as prescribed in the pre-
ceding sections in said city of Annapolis has
been cast for the sale of said spirituous or fer-

allowed under the License Laws of this State,
subject to the provisions hereinafter men-
tioned.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That section fifty-
five of article second, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-
title "Annapolis," as the same was amended
and re-enacted by the several acts of eighteen
hundred and sixty-five, chapter eighty-seven;
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, chapter one
hundred and forty- four; eighteen hundred and

sixty-seven, chapter three hundred and ninety,
and eighteen hundred and seventy-six, chap-
ter two hundred and seventy-three, relating to
the sale of spirituous and fermented liquors
to minors in the city of Annapolis, and within
five miles thereof, be and the same is hereby
revived and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
SECTION 55. "It shall not be lawful for any
person, corporation or association, whether li-
censed to sell spirituous liquors or not, to sell,
dispose of, barter or give, directly or indirectly
within the corporate limits of the city of An-
napolis, or within five miles thereof, any spirit- .
