CHAPTER 42.

AN ACT to repeal sections twenty- three, twen-
ty-four, twenty-five and twenty-six of chap-
ter one hundred and eight of the acts of
Assembly of eighteen hundred and seventy-
eight, entitled an act to add an additional art-
icle to the Code of Public Local Laws, to be
entitled "Garrett county," sub-title "Deer,"
as amended by chapter three hundred and
twenty-seven, of acts of Assembly of eigh-
teen hundred and eighty, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section twenty-
three, twenty-four, twenty-five and twenty-sis
of chapter one hundred and eight of the acts

of Assembly of eighteen hundred and seventy-
eight, entitled an act to add an additional
article to the Code of Public Local Laws, to
be entitled " Garrett county," sub-title " Deer,"
as amended by chapter three hundred and
twenty-seven of the acts of Assembly of eigh-
teen hundred and eighty, be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as
follows, viz :

SEC. 23. No person shall kill or destroy, or
try to kill or destroy, any wild deer in said
county between the date of the passage of this
act and the first day of October, in the year
eighteen hundred and ninety; and from and

lawful for any person to kill or destroy, or try
to kill or destroy, any wild deer in said county,
except during the months of October, Novem-
ber and December in each year, and no person
shall at any time catch or destroy any wild
deer by running or chasing them by dog or
dogs, unless the same shall have been first
wounded during the time authorized by this
act.
