HENRY LLOYD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.
CHAPTER 376.

AN ACT to repeal section one of chapter three
hundred and eighteen of the acts of eighteen
hundred and eighty, entitled an act to fix the
compensation of the Sheriff of Montgomery-
county for keeping and boarding prisoners
committed to the Jail of said county, and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section one of chap-

ter three hundred and eighteen of the acts of
January session eighteen hundred and eighty,
entitled an act to fix the compensation of the
Sheriff of Montgomery county for keeping and
boarding prisoners committed to the Jail of
said county be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

Repealed and
re-enacted.

SECTION 1. That the Sheriff of Montgomery
county be and he is hereby allowed forty cents
a day and no more for keeping and boarding
each prisoner committed to the Jail of said
county.

Per diem.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 7, 1886.

Effective.
