CHAPTER 365.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel county, to repair?
enlarge and improve the present Court
House of said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners of Anne Arundel county be and they
are hereby authorized and empowered, to re-
pair, enlarge and improve the present Court
House of said county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County
Commissioners of said county are hereby au-
thorized to issue proposals and make contracts
to repair, enlarge and improve the present
Court House of said county, and to make such
levy or levys on the assessable property of
said county as may be necessary to carry out
the provisions of this act; provided, that the
amount to be levied shall not exceed the sum
of fifteen thousand dollars.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said
County Commissioners of said county, in order
to enable them to carry into effect the first
section of this act, be and they are hereby au-
thorized and empowered, if in their discre-
tion they deem it expedient and proper, to
issue on the credit of said county bonds to an
amount not to exceed fifteen thousand dollars,
or so much thereof as may be necessary, to
carry into effect the first section of this act,
the said bonds to be redeemable on or before
the first day of January eighteen hundred and
ninety-one, at the discretion of said County
Commissioners, with interest not exceeding
four per centum per annum, payable semi-
annually, and the faith and assessable property
of said county are hereby pledged for the pay-
ment and redemption of said bonds and in-
terest.
