SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall

CHAPTER 358.
AN ACT to repeal section fifty of article fifty-
one of the Code of Public General Laws,
relating to supersedeases before Justices of
the Peace, and to re-enact said section with
amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That section fifty, of

re-enacted.

article fifty-one of the Code of Public General
Laws, relating to supersedeases before Justices
of the Peace, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted and amended so as to
read as follows :
SECTION 50. No execution shall issue on any
judgment rendered by any Justice of the Peace
of this State, if the defendant in said judg-
ment, shall, within two months after the ren-
dition of such judgment produce before the
Justice who rendered the same a supersedeas,
which shall be substantially in the following
form: "State of Maryland, of to wit :
We, , do confess judgment to for the
