CHAPTER 323.
AN ACT to repeal section fifty-five of article
thirty-five of the Code of Public General
Laws, relating to notice in contested elec-
tions for the Senate and House of Delegates,
and to re-enact the said section amended.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
sembly of Maryland, That section fifty-five of
article thirty-five of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted and amended so as to read as
follows :
SECTION 55. The party intending to contest an
election for the Senate or House of Delegates,
shall give notice of such intention to the per-
son elected, or, in case of a tie vote, to the

person against whom the contest is to be insti-
tuted, within thirty days after the Judges of
Election shall have made known publicly the
state of the polls, unless at a special election
to fill a vacancy, when such notice shall be
given within ten days after the state of the
polls is announced by the Judges of Elections.

CHAPTER 324.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the claim of Alonzo G. Darcy, Register of
Wills for Prince George's county, for taxes
erroneously paid into the State Treasury.

Warrant to pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the Comptroller
of the State be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to draw his warrant upon the
Treasurer of the State in favor of Alonzo G.
Darcy, Register of Wills for Prince George's
county, for the sum of eighty-eight dollars
