take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 315.
AN ACT to provide for the measurement of
cord-wood in .the city of Baltimore, and also
to repeal all provisions of the Code incon-
sistent therewith.
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That all stick-wood sold
by retail in the city of Baltimore, shall be
measured in a solid frame made of wood or
iron; that a frame to measure one-eighth of a
cord shall not be larger than ten feet two
inches around on the inside; that a frame to
measure one-fourth of a cord shall not be
larger than twelve feet four inches around on
