Effective.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 267.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Charles county to alter or change
the places of holding elections in the dif-
ferent election districts of said county.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the County Com-
missioners of Charles county be and they are
hereby authorized, upon the petition of any

voter or voters living in the limits of any elec-
tion district of Charles county, to change the
place for the holding of elections in said dis-
trict, whenever in the judgment of said County
Commissioners the public convenience will be
promoted by said change; provided, however,
that before any such change is made, the
County Commissioners shall give notice in
some newspaper published in said county for
three weeks, setting forth in said notice the
substance of the petition and the day on which
they will act upon the same.

Repeal.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or
parts of acts inconsistent with this act be and
the same are hereby repealed.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
